Culture and Climate

Our studio provides a positive and supportive environment for all artists. They choose when they wish to work in the studio, what projects they want to work on, and what learning experiences that will enhance their artistic skills.
Studio staff encourages and supports each artist. By recognizing individual talents, our staff is able to provide the artists with appropriate materials and mediums to support their success.
We provide artists with training and developmental opportunities. Through Artist in Residency programs, visiting museums, and attending classes provides artists with training and developmental opportunities.
Work Practices

Flexibility is recognized as an important component of the InsideOut Studio. Artists are welcome to drop into the studio throughout the day.
Based upon the request from parents and budding artists, our studio is working to extend hours into the evening. Dedication to supporting artists and their individual creativity is an important focus for us at the studio.
Policies
It is the policy of InsideOut Studio and the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities to support individuals to successfully live, work and learn in the community.
As a division of Adult Services InsideOut Studio also adheres to the purpose statement to provide meaningful opportunities, based upon individual choices, which support a person’s ability to live a purposeful life.
As such, it is the policy of InsideOut Studio to support artists in the exploration of their personal talents and skills, to provide artists with training in their areas of interest and to support their desire to market and sell their work.
Community
We recognize the importance of creating and maintaining community partnerships. Through community partnerships our artists are able to exhibit and sell their art. Community partnerships allow the artists to communicate with a larger audience.
We also have an opportunity to educate the community about artists with disabilities and the value that these artists have in their communities
